  Hey.. r u going to buy a laptop ?... Have u decided what to buy ? How did you choose ? I recently went to a Computer (IT) Exhibition. There were so many booths offering very good value for laptops. My friends were interested to buy one and asked my suggestion. I told them few models and said these are good. The pricing were very attractive and we were able to get Core 2 Duo based laptop with 1 GB RAM and other etc etc for a price of SGD 1700 (Singapore Dollars). There were other models which included AMD TURION X2 processors which were a T a price lower compared to CORE 2 DUO processors. There is a common perception that if the price of a product is less then the product is of inferior quality. This I found with my friends said that AMD Laptops will not be good and thus they are offering at a low price. I tried to explain to them but still they are not convinced. They argued with me "then why other Intel laptops are out selling even though AMD price is less..." and so

Microsoft is officially announcing the launch of Office 2007 and Windows Vista for Business today. Windows Vista is finally released after a long development cycle. There are great many features in Windows Vista and comes with a calendar, photo gallery , DVD Maker and Better Games. Also there are numerous features in windows vista. There are many criticisms for having taken this long to develop and also copying many features from Apple OS X. I am using RC2 build Windows Vista as my primary operating system which i got through customer preview program. I find that it is very good and when comparting to pervious builds almost all the softwares seem to work on RC2. The reason for choosing windows rather than other OS is the ecosystem. SyncToy is a powerful and Simple tool to keep in sync of your folder. SyncToy is part of Microsoft PowerToys. It is very very useful and is available for free.     SyncToy 1.4 Works on Windows Vista as well. You can select the configuration of folder sync.   This tool might be very useful for those who are working in different computers and want to keep their data in sync always. For myself i want to keep my documents, my photes and all my development materials in sync between my computers. I do it easily with Synctoy. I use an external HardDisk and SyncFiles from my external HDD and Desktop. This serves me two purpose 1. Keey sync of folders so that i can transfer to any other pc of my choice. 2. Additional BackUp of your data. Certainly this very very useful tool and for me it has become very essential for daily routine. First step is to create the folder Pair. Source and Target. Then Click on Preview to Preview before you Sync. You can also directly sync without preview.

Microsoft is releasing Zune Mp3 Player late september. The new Yahoo! Messenger Version 8 is released quiet some time before. Is it worth upgrading from pervious version ? The answer from my point will certainly be " NO ".   What are all new features a. International Call facility (Already available in 7 and above) b. Talk with MSN users (Really new feature and really wonderful) c. Plugins instead of TABS. (Cool to watch but really too much buggy) d. Good address book search facility. e. Nothing much more..   Ok.. The features are really looking very attractive. The features are tied with many disadvantages. International call facility is not used by users largely outside US and also not widely used by PC users who prefer to chat with from PC to PC rather.  Talking with MSN users, if it has been done long ago.. which includes only typing (chat) facility then it would have been a success. So you got to download the font and install. There is no single standard followed. This situation can be minimized when you use unicode fonts. There are numerous unicode fonts available. Further most operating systems supports unicode and most common operating system , Windows XP/2000 natively supports unicode. How ever when you want to compose you might need to install additional languages and options. The Default unicode font the comes along with Windows XP is Latha . How to install Tamil Language support to windows XP / 2000. Requirements . 1. Windows XP / 2000 installed PC 2. Minimum of 200MB Hard disk space to install fonts and scripts. 3. Windows XP installation CD. Steps 1. Go to Control Panel 2. Go to Date Time , Language options Category View Select Regional and Language Options Classic View Go to Regional Languages --> Languages Tab -->       Tick on Install Complex scripts (option 1) and Install files for east Asian languages (option 2). Dear all, It has been almost 4 years since windows XP has released. After the release the updates are only for security issues not majorly for User Interfaces. There is Microsoft Plus! but that even does not give much different look to your desktop. Windows XP comes with three appearance theme + Classic Style. Classic style is similar to those of Windows 2000/Me/98 system interfaces. Windows XP theme was quiet amazing when we saw for the first time. New schema of colours.. High depth icons etc etc. But when we (I) look at the same interface.. which i have been seeing for long time.. it is boring. Sometimes u feel .. "Hey daily seeing the same face".
